Energy Performance Certificates

Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs) are needed whenever a property is built, sold or rented. If you already own your home, the process of getting an EPC produced can help you identify ways to improve the energy efficiency of your home.

As EPCs are valid for ten years, you will then have an accurate EPC ready if you decide to sell or rent within this period (unless you improve your home subsequently, in which case you may wish to get a fresh EPC done to include those improvements). It gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).

Whether you're looking to buy a or rent a new home check the Energy Performance Certificate rating, Going through it you can get information knowing where the property has i.e. its weak points regarding thermal insulation, it means construction elements without a good thermal transmittance.

   lot of energy

.- some buildings that are due to be demolished

.- holiday accommodation that’s rented out for less than 4 months a year or is let   under a license to occupy

.- listed buildings
